This policy applies to Boilan's online store and customer portal at boilan.odoo.com. The boilan.ca website has its own cookie policy.
Essential cookies are always active. All other cookies stay disabled until you accept them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file saved on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site work, remember your choices or collect information about your browsing. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage.
2. Your consent
- On your first visit, a banner gives you two choices: Allow all cookies or Only allow essential cookies.
- Statistics and campaign-tracking cookies are disabled by default. They are only turned on with your consent.
- Essential cookies, required for the site to work, are always active.
- To change your choice, clear the cookies and site data for boilan.odoo.com in your browser settings. The banner will appear again on your next visit.

Third-party services
- Online payment: payments are processed by Authorize.net. Your card details are entered and processed by this provider, which may use its own cookies for security and fraud prevention. Boilan does not store your card numbers.
- Social media: the Facebook and Instagram links set no cookies until you click them. Once on those platforms, their own policies apply.
4. How long cookies are kept
- Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser or when your session ends.
- Others are kept from a few days to two years, depending on the service.
- You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
All browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop the customer portal sign-in, the cart or payment from working.
The site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Use the banner's "Only allow essential cookies" choice instead.
6. Personal information protection
Information collected through cookies is handled in accordance with Quebec's personal information protection laws.
